Get To Know Us: Jaye Rosenberg

Name: Jaye Rosenberg, ACFE Board Advisor

Hometown: Born Sydney, Australia

Why did you join ACFE: I had just moved to LA, knew one person and wanted to find a way to use my spare time to volunteer for a non-profit. ACFE needed volunteers for its first year so I jumped at the chance. Since then, I have helped behind the scenes; creative ideas and problem solving for the event and fundraising (oh and sometimes painting cash donation boxes pink). This year I am designing limited edition merchandise and collaborating with a local artist, which I hope raises a tonne of money for the charity!

What is your hope for ACFE? I hope it continues to grow and people continue to support it.

What is your favorite thing about ACFE? ACFE is a true non-profit. Everyone on the board and almost everyone involved in the event itself are volunteers. I love that so many people are generous with their time and forthcoming with their creativity and skill-sets to raise money for the cause.

What’s your favorite show on TV right now? I just finished the British series Happy Valley, almost finished the Swedish series The Bridge and The Americans. I’ve had to take a break from The Bridge for a little as I recently almost answered “Tack” (Swedish for thank you) instead of “Thank You” to someone, but hey learning Swedish may just be a great bi-product of my binge watching tendencies

What’s your favorite movie? It’s been ages since I had a new favorite film but I loved Moonlight, I loved the soundtrack as well. I always loved Luc Besson’s The Big Blue too.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? New York again, because it gives as much energy as it takes.

What’s your Zodiac sign? Do you believe in the Zodiac? Sagittarius. I don’t think I believe in the zodiac, but there’s something nice about the idea that things are written in the stars.

What’s your favorite pizza topping? Olives and Jalapeños

Who would play you in a biopic about your life? Natalie Portman please.

What is your biggest pet peeve? Racism, bigotry, xenophobia, dishonesty, bad manners and backstabbing.

What is your favorite holiday? Thanksgiving

If you were a flavor of ice cream, what flavor would you be? Dairy free for sure – Pear, Mango or Chocolate sorbet. Yum!

What food do you hate? Oh I love food so this is hard, I’m not good with Anchovies from a tin and things liked canned chicken, I won’t do.

What is your most used emoji? ? love the drool and also a few shades of love  ♥️?

Who was the last person you texted? my sister

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given? ‘Live it up’  from my Oma (my grandma) who is my Queen. It’s her way of telling me (in her beautiful European accent) to live my best life and make the most of it – she’s a holocaust survivor and has had an extraordinary life, she knows.

What is your guilty pleasure? Long showers
