Survivor Stories: Jen Hods
“Two years ago on this Wednesday I finished chemo. I came home, bloated and broken and sat out in the sun. I’m less bloated, slightly less broken, but still taking time to find the sun. What a journey it has been. ☀️”

Destress For Wellness
Studies have shown that stress hormones can help breast cancer grow, spread, and diversify which in turn makes it harder to treat. Be sure to take time each day for self care and keep your stress levels low.

Announcing ACFE Merch!
We are SO excited to announce something we’ve been working really hard on these last few months. Spearheaded and designed by our own Jaye Rosenberg in collaboration with artist Rachel Brown, A Cause For Entertainment is releasing a run of LIMITED EDITION SHIRTS!
ACFE: Sunday Funday
Come join us for an evening of wine, good company, and charity! We are kicking off ACFE’s event season- 10% of all proceeds will go towards funding Breast Cancer research. Just because it’s not officially Breast Cancer awareness month doesn’t mean we can’t support a good cause and have a little fun, too! Besides, rosé matches perfectly with our Pink Breast Cancer Ribbons.
Step Up for Angela
“i have breast cancer. I am still in such shock and extremely nervous for the journey. I will need to have my breast/s removed soon and eventual implants to replace. Possible post chemotherapy tbd hopefully not. I want to share this life event to feel less alone and find strength in the love & support of others who care.”
So, What is Breast Cancer Anyway?
Breast cancer, like all cancers, are a group of cells that grow and multiply beyond normal, and usually out of control. The growth, also known as a tumor, can either be felt or seen on an x-ray machine. Malignant tumors can spread and invade to all areas of the body. Breast cancer is specifically found and originated in breast tissue.
Introducing Survivor Stories
Week to week, we will feature Breast Cancer survivors and get to know a bit about their journeys. We believe these positive and personal messages will help build the community of people affected by breast cancer.
Get To Know Us: Cecilia Tripp
I was looking at doing more volunteer work for causes that I am passionate about. Devon reached out at the perfect time when she asked if I knew anyone who would be interested in helping out with their social media. After researching the company and seeing all that they were doing for Breast Cancer Research I knew it was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. This organization is doing such amazing work and I could not be happier to play a small role in that.

I had just moved to LA, knew one person and wanted to find a way to use my spare time to volunteer for a non-profit. ACFE needed volunteers for its first year so I jumped at the chance. Since then, I have helped behind the scenes; creative ideas and problem solving for the event and fundraising (oh and sometimes painting cash donation boxes pink). This year I am designing limited edition merchandise and collaborating with a local artist, which I hope raises a tonne of money for the charity!

I wanted to find a way to get involved, and when Jessica gave me the opportunity to get in on the ground floor with an emerging charitable event that does as much good as this one, I couldn’t say no.

Oftentimes working in Hollywood you lose perspective of life outside of work, and what is really important. I was looking for some way that I could contribute that would fit in to my demanding schedule, and allow me to be a part of something bigger. Jessica asked me to join the board and I couldn’t refuse. Watching her run this organization over the past few years has been such an inspiration for me, and the positive impact it makes on people’s lives is really wonderful.

I hope that ACFE continues to grow and expand and is able to raise more and more funds odonate to these amazing organizations that are doing this important work. I truly believe that these organizations provide services that are changing the world, whether it be through research, patient, or family support – they are all doing the hard work and they need as much help as they can get. <3

My hope for ACFE is to grow year to year, not only in terms of how much money we raise but also the number of people we can inspire and support.
